Alt Attribute

Reason

The alt attribute provides a brief verbal description of the graphic in case a visitor is not receiving images. The attribute creates an alternative to the image, hence alt.

The value of the alt attribute will be displayed when the image does not appear. This occurs through non-graphical browsers, such as text-only browsers and speech synthesizers. It can also occur through graphical browsers if (a) the image happens not be delivered from the server or (b) the viewer has opted to disable the images.
