Namespace

Placement

The namespace is the value of an xmlns attribute. In an XHTML document, the attribute is placed within the opening <html> tag.

We also find the lang attribute and/or the xml:lang attribute in the same tag.

<html lang="en"  xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

or

<html xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
