Quick Theory
Our travel plans (the focus of our tutorials)
XHTML version 1.0 strict
We will be focusing on XHTML version 1.0 strict.
Why not version 1.1?
1.1 is an incremental advance. Everything we learn about 1.0 strict can be applied directly to 1.1. The step into 1.1 is very easy from 1.0 strict.
Why not version 2.0?
2.0 is work-in-progress. It is meant to be a radical leap; so, if it ever is released as a standard, it will (predictably) need a few years before it becomes seamlessly interpreted by popular browsers and widely used by designers. The discipline we gain with 1.0 strict today can be applied to it tomorrow.
Why version 1.0 strict?
1.0 strict will make us proficient in the present while speeding us forward … advancing us now while preparing us for changes to come…
